About

A gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in IBD and nutrition

I am a consultant gastroenterologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. I provide general gastroenterology care alongside specialist services for inflammatory bowel disease, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the upper and lower gut.

I studied medicine at University College London, qualifying in 2008, and trained in gastroenterology across the Oxford and London regions. I then completed advanced training in complex IBD and nutrition at tertiary referral centres in London.

I hold an MSc in Genomic Medicine from Imperial College London, and undertook doctoral research in immunology at UCL as a Crohn’s & Colitis UK Research Fellow.

In the NHS I look after inpatients at St Mary’s and Hammersmith hospitals, run general gastroenterology and specialist IBD and polyposis clinics, and lead the nutrition service at the Hammersmith site. I am an endoscopy trainer, a member of the advanced polyp multidisciplinary team, training lead at St Mary’s Hospital and an examiner for Imperial College London.

I am also a principal investigator for IBD clinical trials and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, within the Digestive Disease research group.
